Unit Objectives

Main Focus: to educate students on proper form, technique, rules, skills, and game play used in Flag Football activities.  To promote a healthy lifestyle and life long activity.

Safety:  remove all jewelry, no gum chewing, spatial awareness, control when throwing the Football, NO Interference with other students

Psychomotor: the student will demonstrate proper Football related activities by:

1.      performing warm up and cool down exercises

2.      applying proper bio-mechanics

3.      displaying correct form and technique

4.      putting forth maximum effort and participation

5.      using the proper techniques to accomplish various offensive and defensive skills

Cognitive: the student will show an understanding of Football related activities by:

1.      assessing his/her daily performance during the unit

2.      understanding the rules and boundaries for various Football activities and games

3.      using strategy during Football games

Affective: the student will demonstrate:

1.      encouragement

2.      advice

3.      teamwork

4.      safety

·        multi-colored pinnies (# depends on class size)
