Unit Objectives

Main Focus: to educate students on proper form, technique, rules, and game play used in Golf.  To introduce to some and encourage others to play the game of golf.

Safety:  remove all jewelry, no gum chewing, spatial awareness when swinging the golf club, control when hitting the golf ball, NO Interference with other students

Psychomotor: the student will demonstrate proper Frisbee related activities by:

1.      performing warm up and cool down exercises

2.      applying proper bio-mechanics

3.      displaying correct form and technique

4.      putting forth maximum effort and participation

5.      using the proper grip and swing to strike a golf ball

Cognitive: the student will show an understanding of Frisbee related activities by:

1.      assessing his/her daily performance during the unit

2.      understanding the rules and boundaries for various Golf activities and games

3.      practicing maximum safety guidelines during every lesson

Affective: the student will demonstrate:

1.      encouragement

2.      advice

3.      teamwork

4.      safety

·        30 golf clubs

·        100 golf balls (wiffle & sponge)

·        cones, hoops, markers

·        pencils, clipboards
